Scottish Open 2016
The Scottish Open were held in Glasgow/Scottland from 23rd to 27th November. A lot of VICTOR players took part in this tournament and achieved great successes.
The VICTOR - ian Joo Ven Soong from Malaysia reached the final, where he lost against the current raising star Anders Antonsen from Denmark with 20-22 14-21.
Two European VICTOR player tried to win the category " women's doubles " , but they already had to play in the quarter final against each other. The top seeded Dane Natalia Koch Rohde lost to Sabrina Jaquet from Switzerland with 6-21 21-13 10-21. Afterwards, Sabrina Jaquet, fully equipped by VICTOR too , faught herself further into the final. The last match was a tough battle where both players were focused on the tournament win. Finally Poulsen could win after a playtime of more than one hour with 21-18 17-21 21-14.
A clear VICTOR final was played in the discipline women's doubles with two teams from Malaysia. The lucky winner were Yin Loo Lim and Yap Cheng Wen defeating Amelia Alicia Auscelly and Mei Xing Teoh with 13-21 21-18 21-16.
Another team from Malaysia won the title in the discipline mixed doubles. The VICTORian Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Jemie Lai struggled for the tournament win with 13-21 21-18 21-16 against Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Reddy N. Sikki from India.
