Successful weeks for the VICTOR family
The last weeks have been exciting for the whole badminton scene. The new team equipment arrived, the first matches of the season are over and the question which team is going up into a higher division and which team is going down is lively discussed.
During this seasons period when many things happen at a time, almost unnoticed by many, three of the biggest European badminton tournaments took place. The VICTOR family was represented at all these competitions by a lot of players, which were able to achieve very good results.
Dutch Open
2nd place women's singles - Yu Po Pai
2nd place men's singles - Ihsan Maulana Mustofa
2nd place men's doubles - Fran Kurniawan / Agripinna Prima Rahmanto Putra
The results at the Dutch Open were especially interesting, because two of the three VICTOR finalists were unseeded and therefore were responsable for some of the most surprising results of the tournament, especially against hotly favoured players.
Denmark Open
2nd place men's singles - Wan Ho Son
2nd place men's doubles - Yong Dae Lee / Yeon Seong Yoo
2nd place mixed doubles - Tontowi Ahmad / Liliyana Natsir
3rd placewomen's singles - Ji Hyun Sung
3rd place men's doubles - Sung Hyun Ko / Baek Choel Shin
At the Denmark Open some good old friends were back at the highest ranks. The Korean VICTOR men's doubles, which dominated the World Championships in Copenhagen as well as the World Championship's most, missed mixed double from Indonesia, Ahmad and Natsir were showing a good performance. The Korean men's singles player Wan Ho Son, who has beaten the World Champion Chen Long one week before, was the surprise of the tournament by reaching the final and confirming his excellent performance.
French Open
1st place men's singles - Tien Chen Chou
1st place mixed doubles - Tontowi Ahmad / Liliyana Natsir
3rd place men's doubles - Sheng Mu Lee / Chia Hsin Tsai
The French Open were especially successful for VICTOR. Besides the world class mixed double Ahmad and Natsir, the men's singles player Tien Chen Chou from Chinese Taipei was able to win his competitions.
All in all VICTOR can be very satisfied with the achieved results and all of us can't wait to see the upcoming tournaments with VICTOR players in top-condition.
